As a Quality Engineer you are responsible for planning and carrying out product inspections on components and
systems in accordance agreed specifications (quality and time). Inspections are carried out internal or on location
at the supplier. The Quality Engineer has the technical/engineering background to handle the day-to-day issues
with product or process quality. Through progress reports objectively the status of the deliveries are monitored.
Deviations are registered by a NCR report, actions are set and followed up conscientiously. You collaborate with
internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to
prevent compromising quality and safety standards. The Quality Engineer report to the Lead SCM/QC.
As Quality Engineer you will be responsible for following:
Creating and maintaining company documentation, such as quality manuals and quality procedures;
Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained;
Coordinate, plan and carry out internal product inspections on delivered goods and finished components
Coordinate, plan and carry out product inspections and process auditing at key suppliers worldwide;
Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues;
Follow up inspection reports and NCR reports;
Issue release notes for the approval and shipment of products;
Maintaining and controlling calibration records for all test and inspection equipment;
Point of contact for questions about quality related issues.
You also contribute to the further professionalization of the QC department. You bring your own ideas and
improvements to optimize the handling of QC activities.
MBO+/HBO education degree preferably in mechanical engineering;
Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes;
Knowledge of quality systems and measurement;
Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail;
Ability to think logically and methodically;
Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills;
Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment;
Planning and prioritising activities;
Ability to present data effectively;
Team working skills;
Understanding of cost and financial impacts;
Good knowledge of MS Office and ERP (preferably ISAH/IFS) and PDM systems;
Fluent in English (written and spoken);
You have VCA certificate or willing to get this.
